Primary Purpose of the Role
This role is responsible for the implementation of the Workplace Strategy to deliver a commercially optimised workplace portfolio.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead and develop Sydney Water’s Property Workplace Strategy, aligning programs and budgets with business objectives.
- Oversee property workplace governance, managing stakeholder groups, asset lifecycle, and ensuring financial outcomes and regulatory compliance.
- Provide leadership to the Workplace team, driving improvements in property asset management, workplace accommodation, and related facilities.
- Build strong internal relationships, balancing business requirements, budget optimisation, and creating safe, compliant environments.
- Manage budgets, oversee project performance, track costs, risks, and deliverables, and ensure quality, WHS, and environmental compliance.
Key Knowledge & Experience
- Relevant degree (management, business, engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Expert knowledge of legislative and compliance requirements (e.g., Work Health and Safety, National Building Code).
- Asset management qualifications leading to membership in industry groups (e.g., Facilities Management Association, Project Management Institute).
- 7+ years’ experience in facilities, land, or property asset management, with expertise in contract and stakeholder management.
- Proven experience in delivering multi-disciplinary maintenance programs and managing commercial arrangements for value-driven outcomes.
