Primary Purpose of the Role

This role is responsible for the implementation of the Workplace Strategy to deliver a commercially optimised workplace portfolio.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Lead and develop Sydney Water’s Property Workplace Strategy, aligning programs and budgets with business objectives.
Oversee property workplace governance, managing stakeholder groups, asset lifecycle, and ensuring financial outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Provide leadership to the Workplace team, driving improvements in property asset management, workplace accommodation, and related facilities.
Build strong internal relationships, balancing business requirements, budget optimisation, and creating safe, compliant environments.
Manage budgets, oversee project performance, track costs, risks, and deliverables, and ensure quality, WHS, and environmental compliance.

Key Knowledge & Experience

Relevant degree (management, business, engineering) or equivalent experience.
Expert knowledge of legislative and compliance requirements (e.g., Work Health and Safety, National Building Code).
Asset management qualifications leading to membership in industry groups (e.g., Facilities Management Association, Project Management Institute).
7+ years’ experience in facilities, land, or property asset management, with expertise in contract and stakeholder management.
Proven experience in delivering multi-disciplinary maintenance programs and managing commercial arrangements for value-driven outcomes.
