Payroll Officer

An experienced Payroll Officer min of 5 years’ experience in payroll processing overseeing the payroll function for ANZ through an outsource provider, 12-month contract.

Global IT consultancy firm who are dynamic and growing organization committed to a diverse working culture.  A detailed-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer is required to join their team and oversee the payroll function for AU and NZ employees through an external payroll service provider.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the outsource payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll
  • Prepare and review payroll reports
  • Vendor management
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
  • Manage employee deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure the timely submission of reports.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee queries.
  • Process new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and other employee changes.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams for smooth payroll operations.
  • Stay updated with payroll regulations and industry best practices.
  • Assist employees with payroll related inquiries.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Officer
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax laws, and statutory regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping systems and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with multi-state payroll
