You will be working for a Local Government authority based in the inner suburbs. You will be joining their strategy, people & culture department.
Initially contracted for 3 months but it could lead to further opportunities. You will be working hybrid, 1-2 days from home.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Build upon an existing Workplace Health & Safety framework and strategy
- Conduct site inspections, manage risk assessments, & conduct training when needed
- Identify hazards & risks on site and take action to minimise potential harm to personnel
- Ensuring the workplace is compliant with laws and regulations
- Managing / Administering the OHS incident reporting
- Collating and maintaining HSW data to assist with reporting and data analysis.
- Raising purchase orders and ordering and processing deliveries of HSW-related materials.
- Updating OHS noticeboards and staff intranet OHS pages.
- Assist the HSW team with project managing organisation wide improvement initiatives and projects
You will have the following:
- Relevant qualifications in OHS
- Previous experience in an OHS role for a multifaceted organisation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement
- Practical knowledge and understanding of underlying principles of OHS and Injury Management/Return to Work (RTW).
